The Insider Scoop to Rexburg's Best Pizza...Righteous Slice

Ever wonder what authentic Italian pizza tastes like? Well good news! Look no further than Rexburg, Idaho. Rexburg homes one of the top-rated Pizza places in the U.S., and lucky for us, they do not skimp on anything but perfect ingredients.

Why Righteous Slice?

Righteous Slice is a family run Neapolitan pizza business, and you will be sure to catch a family vibe here as there are young kids working the register (which is adorable in my opinion). I was lucky to meet with an interview one of the owners, day-to-day operators, and co-founders, Cheryl. She was able to give me some great information on the meaning behind their name "Righteous Slice".

"We wanted a name that conveyed how different we are from typical American pizza. "Righteous!" is what you say when you are blown away by how good something is. It sets the expectation that you are about you enjoy the best pizza of your life. And it reminds us why we keep working hard to get better every day".

Their Story

Cheryl and her family reside in Rexburg and have been for the past 9 years. Pizza making started off as a backyard hobby. Her husband, Bill developed a love for making pizza and would have family and friends over for small parties and get-togethers initially. The hobby became more serious once they were in Idaho and decided to take a try at turning it into a career driven by passion. Cheryl, Bill, and their six kids wanted to test the waters of Southeast Idaho. Before opening their own restaurant, they began at the local Farmer's Market. Once they realized that Southeast Idaho enjoyed this unique type of Neapolitan pizza, they began their search for a perfect location. It took five years to secure and move in what is now known as "Righteous Slice".

What Makes Righteous Slice So Unique?

Where to begin?! Well for starters, have you seen the place?

-It is a two-story building overlooking the small town with abstract yet modern features.

-There is a small ice cream parlor up top where they make all of their heavenly desserts (I know, they serve those too).

-Lots of seating for friends, families, couples, and individuals.

-Live music from local bands and famous artists like: Drake Bell and James the Mormon,

But what they really pride themselves on is their ingredients. They import their oven and ingredients from the pizza heaven (aka Italy)! Most ingredients that are not imported are made by hand included their dough, sausage, and meatballs. And let me tell you, it tastes better than it sounds.

The Experience

Righteous Slice is simply and tastefully unique. Their motto is to serve the best food by the best people. Their goal? It is purely to help customers feel appreciated for being there and they will do everything they can to ensure a good experience. The community is uplifting, kind, energetic, fun and friendly. I can ensure you that your experience will be just as good as the taste of their pizza.
